A message from our Principal
Welcome to the Calwell Primary web site. It is designed to provide you with information about the wonderful features, programs and activities that make our school unique and special.
The strength of our school lies in the commitment of our school community to the school values that underpin and guide all that we do. Our school is child centred. We believe that every student has the right to learn in a safe, supportive environment and to be treated with respect. We value diversity and strive to provide an inclusive environment for all students. It is a school where staff and students take pride in each other’s achievements.
At Calwell we believe the primary years of schooling are vital in developing the skills, attitudes and understandings that develop a love of learning. Strong skills in literacy, numeracy and inquiry provide the essential platform for success. Scaffolding students’ learning experiences and meeting their educational, social, emotional and physical needs is our focus.
The commitment and professionalism of staff, the support of parents and the enthusiasm of our students combines to make our school a great learning environment that will make a positive difference in the lives of children. I am proud to be part of the Calwell Team. We work collaboratively together to provide a relevant and challenging curriculum that will encourage life long learning. I invite you to find out more about our school through this web site or contact us to arrange a visit to the school.
