Student Council

All students at Calwell are able to contribute their ideas and participate in school decision making about issues and activities that affect them through class meetings and the Student Council.  The Council comprises one representative from each class with a teacher as coordinator.   Regular meetings are held with council members bringing items for discussion from class meetings and then reporting back to their class or the whole school at assemblies.

The Council also raises funds for a variety of projects such as school improvement projects, special equipment and charities.  Each year funds are raised to sponsor a child through the World Vision Sponsorship Program.
