Parent Financial Contributions
As most parents are aware, it is necessary each year to ask for some financial support from parents to enable Calwell to offer a comprehensive range of learning programs, materials and equipment for all students. While funds supplied from Government sources enable us to cover essential basic costs, they preclude the provision of many individual requirements. Without the wholehearted financial support of parents, students would have access to less material and resources than is ideal and be limited in their learning opportunities.
We endeavour to keep the requested parent voluntary contribution to a minimum through prudent budgeting that ensures all funds are carefully expended. A copy of the school budget is available to interested parents at the Front Office.
The contribution is set annually by the School Board and is currently $90.00 for one student or $140.00 for a family. Payment in instalments can also be arranged.
